What is CharitySense?
CharitySense is a project designed to empower you to make more informed decisions when donating to causes you care about. Our aim is to provide transparency in the world of charitable giving by offering a user-friendly data browser that helps you find the best cause and charity for your contributions.
Our approach is built on processing over 3.9 million tax forms from over 500,000 charities. We continually aggregate public and real-time sources to keep you updated on the financial health and impact of the organizations you care about. With CharitySense, you can understand exactly where your donation money will be spent in less than 30 seconds.

We have opened our dataset for developers to build their own analytics. The Charity Navigator API is a RESTful API that provides access to a subset of the data available in the Charity Navigator database. The API offers methods for accessing data on charity filings, charity ratings, charity financials, and human development indicators.
